The Kewtech KT400 digital loop tester is ready for testing in accordance with 18th edition regulations. The unit is compact, easy to use and suited to users who don't require all the functions of a multifunction tester. If you require loop, insulation, continuity and RCD testing in one unit, take a look at the Kewtech KT63DL.
Low current and high current loop testing
When using the high current L-E loop test mode, readings are given to 3 digits after the decimal point for highly accurate measurement. There is also the option to carry out L-E and L-N loop test. The KT400 shares the same low current anti trip technology (ATT) L-E loop test option, as found on the Kewtech multifunction tester range.
How to view PFC and PSC on KT400
The KT400 will show the Prospective Fault Current (PFC) and Prospective Short Circuit of the circuit under test. Simply press the PFC / PSC button after carrying out a test to view the results. These can then be noted in accordance with regulation.
Other handy features include a magnetic hanging strap and stand, so the unit can be used hands free in almost any environment. For added safety, there is a volts present and polarity LED, the latter alerting the engineer to a potentially very dangerous condition whereby the polarity is reversed at the incoming supply.
