The Megger DCM305E Earth Leakage Clamp Meter is a unique tool that is perfect for troubleshooting earth leakage in a circuit where the RCD keeps tripping unexpectedly.

With the DCM305E you can quickly identify whether the earth leakage current present is excessive, or if the RCD itself is actually faulty. The user can then quickly rectify the problem saving time and inconvenience. Not only can the DCM305E identify the cause of the fault, but also allows the user to trace the circuit and fault. See the application note above in the download section for more information.

The DCM305E is specially designed to check earth leakage currents, with 6 ranges and True RMS measurement, 6mA, 60mA, 600mA, 6A, 60A and 100A and resolution with a minimum of 0.001 at 6mA. The unit also benefits from a low pass filter of 50/60Hz which greatly improves measurements on noisy circuits or where harmonics are present.

Other features include a 6000 count LCD display with back light, wide 40mm jaw opening and hold function so you don’t lose your reading. The unit is also safety rated to IEC61010-1 CATIII 300V and will automatically power off after 20 minutes to conserve battery power.
