It facilitates one-handed operation, enabling engineering experts to locate faults up to ten times quicker than conventional techniques.

Equipped with a high-resolution digital camera and 124 microphones, it produces superior acoustic images, even amidst the din of industrial settings. The acoustic image is seamlessly superimposed on a digital camera snapshot, allowing precise identification of the sound source and categorisation of issues. Images are distinctly visible on the display of the Teledyne FLIR Si124-PD camera, even under bright lighting. Moreover, they are automatically uploaded to the Cloud.

For secure usage, the Teledyne FLIR Si124-PD Industrial Acoustic Imaging Camera can detect ultrasonic sounds/issues from a distance of up to 130 metres.

Images stored in the Cloud can be examined using FLIR’s Severity Assessment tool. This functionality enables you to:

• Determine the level of risk associated with partial discharge.
• Analyse the frequency to ascertain the type of partial discharge.
• Categorise types of partial discharge: negative corona, positive and negative corona, floating discharge, or surface or internal discharge.

Alternatively, images can be transferred to FLIR’s Thermal Studio for offline editing, analysis, and report generation.
