Teledyne FLIR TG275 Thermal Imaging Camera
Teledyne FLIR designed the TG275 Thermal Imaging Camera for automotive diagnostics, providing a broad temperature measurement range for daily troubleshooting.
The TG275 (87503-0303) features 120 x 160 IR resolution, combined with a -25°C to 550°C temperature measurement range. With the Flir TG275, a mechanic can troubleshoot issues related to:
- Batteries
- Relays and switches
- Exhaust system
- AC condensers
- Drive chain components
- Brake disks and pads
- Engine misfires
- Wheel bearings
- Heated seats / steering wheel
Faster and safer troubleshooting
The Flir TG275 provides a substantially safe and faster approach to trouble shooting compared to touch. You often cannot feel small temperature differences by hand, and the extreme temperatures found on vehicles can cause serious injury.
Heat can dissipate fast from components. It is unseen by the naked eye and difficult to detect by touch. Using this camera takes the guesswork out of fault diagnosis, significantly reducing labour costs for the workshop and customer.
MSX image enhancement
Probably the most useful feature of the Flir TG275 for mechanics is MSX image enhancement. MSX technology makes fault finding in crowed engine bays / fuse boxes etc. much easier and faster. MSX technology extracts key visible image elements – outlines, words, numbers, and other high-contrast edge details – and adds them to the thermal image.
Flir ruggedness and reliability
The FLIR TG275 comes with Flir’s 10-2 warranty and is rated IP54 against dust and moisture ingress, making it suitable for a busy garage or workshop. Additionally, the camera passes drop tests from a height of 2 meters.
The camera has a built in 4GB memory card which allows the storage of up to 50,000 images. Images can be downloaded to PC via USB if required.
