The Flir TG297 (87504-0404)  thermal camera is designed for specialist applications where high temperatures need to be recorded and monitored accurately. The TG297 can measure up to 1030°C with an a accuracy of ±3°C. The TG297 is ideal for monitoring temperatures commonly found in:

• Refractories
• Manufacturing

Such a high temperature range is often only found on more expensive, professional cameras. The TG297 offers a more affordable option to those who require a simple thermal solution.

High accuracy at high temperatures

The TG297 true 160 x 120 IR resolution, providing over 19,000 individual temperature reference points in every image. Furthermore, the TG297 has a thermal sensitivity of <70 mK making it a good choice for spotting small temperature changes.

This camera also features a wide 57° × 44° field of view, to capture more in every images.

MSX image enhancement

Probably the most useful feature of the Flir TG297 for mechanics is MSX image enhancement. MSX technology makes fault finding in crowed engine bays / fuse boxes etc. much easier and faster. MSX technology extracts key visible image elements – outlines, words, numbers, and other high-contrast edge details – and adds them to the thermal image.

Easy to use everyday

The TG297 is ready to go straight out of the box. With its easy to use interface, minimal training is required to get the best out of the TG297. The camera can also be tripod mounted via the mounting point on the bottom of the handle.

To help, the camera has 4 pre-set emissivity levels, plus the option to set this level manually. It is also fixed focus with a minimum distance of 30cm.

Finally, the camera is 2 meter drop tested and IP54 rated, making it suitable for everyday use in tough environments with an air temperature of up to 45°C.
