The Martindale HPAT400 Portable Appliance Tester is suitable for simple, low volume testing. It features single button operation for Class 1 and Class 2 appliances, as well as none surge protect power leads. The unit is lightweight and battery powered. A protective case with room for accessories is included.

Easy to use

The unit is very simple to use. It has a front mounted 3 pin socket and 3 buttons, along with connection diagrams on the front of the unit.

Feedback is provided to the user in the way of PASS or FAIL indication only. The Martindale HPAT400 does not display the measured value, unlike the Martindale HPAT500 and HPAT600 which do.

Although the HPAT400 is an entry level PAT tester, it features a backlit display and 200mA earth bond test. This means the HPAT400 is suitable for testing sensitive IT equipment, which may otherwise by damaged under test.

Get started straight away

Included with the Martindale HPAT400 is an IEC lead for testing extension leads, as well as the TL67 earth bond probe with crocodile clip. This means the unit can be used for testing straight out of the box.
