Megger MIT525-UK 5kV Diagnostic Insulation Resistance Tester
The Megger MIT525 5kV insulation resistance tester takes the essential functions of the MIT515 and adds various diagnostic tests such as step voltage, dielectric discharge and ramp testing. The MIT525 still also carries out Polarisation Index (PI) and Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR).

With the Megger MIT’s unique case design, the lid can be removed to allow better access to the instruments functions. When closed, the case provides IP65 protection. A handy quick start guide is also included on the inside of the lid to assist with operation for first time users. Operation is has been made as simple as possible with two rotary dials and rubberised buttons.
Safety is always at the forefront of any Megger product and with the MIT525 it is no different. With its CAT IV safety rating and locking lead terminals to prevent accidental disconnection, the MIT525 protects the user whilst the instrument is in use. To begin a test, the user needs to push and hold the test button for a couple of seconds. This feature is designed to reduce the chance of accidently starting a test before all necessary connections are made and the user is ready.
In addition to the MIT515, the Megger MIT525 also has built in memory which allows the user to recall the data when required. The data is also automatically date and time stamped for traceability. Data can be download via USB interface. PowerDB Lite asset management software is also included.
The 3 x 3m lead set supplied as standard with the MIT525 includes croc clips designed for clamping on to larger diameter test pieces. They are also built for everyday use and have a long service life. The locking plug design and none removable croc clips add to the safety features of the Megger MIT series.
