Phase Rotation & Phase Finders
Phase rotation testers are designed to measure the direction of rotation and establish the direction of phase sequence in three-phase machinery. LED indicators provide clear indications of clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation.
These instruments can be used to check the phase sequence of motors, pumps, and air-conditioning units. They are commonly known as phase sequence indicators, phase rotation meters, or phase sequence meters.
Test4Less carries a variety of phase rotation meters, allowing engineers to check how the phases are rotating in relation to each other and that they are in fact connected in the correct sequence. Rotating disc-type phase rotation testers allow for easy detection of misconnected phases and damaged wires, as well as the measurement of phase rotation.
Static-type phase rotation testers are also available for situations where safer non-contact testing is required. Non-contacting phase rotation meters enable phase rotation to be determined without direct contact between the probes and live wires, which allows for much safer testing.
