Electrical, Voltage & Continuity Testers
A continuity tester is a device used to see if there is a complete path between two points in an electrical circuit. The device is connected only when the circuit is de-energized. Essentially, a continuity tester checks to see if a particular circuit is open or closed. A closed, or ‘complete’ circuit is one that has continuity.
Similarly to continuity testers, voltage testers accurately and safely check wires, fuses and circuits to ensure they are working properly. As they detect the presence of voltage, they are often the first electrical tester that technicians reach for when working on a malfunctioning piece of equipment.
