Live input warnings help protect the user during testing. The Seaward PV:1525 Solar PV Tester also includes automatic test inhibition when live input is detected. Therefore, it helps reduce risk while working on high energy solar circuits.

Measurement performance supports detailed site checks. Open circuit voltage testing covers up to 1500 V DC, while short circuit current testing covers up to 25 A DC. In addition, insulation resistance tests use selectable voltages up to 1500 V.

Bluetooth connectivity links the unit with the PV mobile app for data transfer and firmware updates. Onboard memory stores test results, helping engineers keep records during larger jobs. A 3.5 inch backlit colour screen also helps in bright daylight and darker work areas.
