Kane 460 HVACR, Heating, Cooling, Refrigeration & IAQ Analyser
Kane 460 HVACR, Heating, Cooling, Refrigeration & IAQ Analyser is a portable gas testing instrument. Designed for heating, cooling, fridge systems and indoor air quality work, it can test domestic and commercial heating and hot water systems. The tester also supports boiler setup, flue draught, system pressure and leak tests. A 2 psi / 160 mbar pressure sensor enables single and pressure difference measurement without the need for a separate pressure gauge or hose.

For gas testing, the tester measures oxygen from 0-21%. It measures carbon monoxide from 0-10,000 ppm with H2 compensation and high-range protection. It also measures H2 and supports an extra NO sensor for measurements up to 5,000 ppm. The tester can calculate CO2, CO/CO2 ratio, excess air and burning efficiency. It can also calculate cooling system subcool and superheat. More than 40 cooling gases can be measured, including R22, R32, R134a, R290 and R410A.

A large colour graphic display helps keep readings clear. The simple menu system supports quick operation. Its compact and rugged design makes it easy to carry between jobs. KANE LINK connects suitable wireless probes and monitors to the tester. KANE LIVE allows users to see, save and send test results. A water-resistant trap helps protect the tester from vapour damage. The tester is also backed by KANE CARE lifetime cover.

Key Benefits
  • Combines gas testing, pressure, HVACR and IAQ testing in one portable tester.
  • Supports domestic and commercial heating and hot water system testing.
  • KANE LINK connects suitable wireless probes for added HVACR and airflow testing.
  • KANE LIVE allows test results to be viewed, saved and sent from the tester.
  • Large colour graphic display and simple menus support fast, clear operation.
  • 2 psi / 160 mbar pressure capability supports flue draught, system pressure and leak tests.
  • Hydrophobic water trap helps protect the tester against vapour damage.
  • KANE LOCK can automatically disable a stolen tester.
  • Supports step-by-step boiler setup, equipment sweep and room CO migration testing.
  • More than 40 cooling gases and multiple fuel types support a wide range of service work.
Common Applications

Kane 460 HVACR, Heating, Cooling, Refrigeration & IAQ Analyser can be used for a range of testing, maintenance and inspection tasks, including:

  • Domestic and commercial gas, oil and biomass equipment performance and safety testing.
  • Boiler installation, setup and maintenance.

Why Choose This Model?

This model combines combustion analysis, differential pressure measurement, refrigeration calculations and KANE LINK connectivity in one instrument. For wider HVACR and IAQ work, the Kane 460 HVACR Kit adds dedicated wireless temperature, pressure and airflow accessories to the core analyser package.

Kane 460 HVACR, Heating, Cooling, Refrigeration & IAQ Analyser

Kane 460 HVACR, Heating, Cooling, Refrigeration & IAQ Analyser is a portable multi-gas instrument for heating, cooling, refrigeration and indoor air quality work. It can test domestic and commercial heating and hot water systems, while also supporting boiler commissioning, flue draught, system pressure and tightness tests. Its 2 psi / 160 mbar pressure sensor also allows single and differential pressure measurements without the need for a separate manifold or hose when working on compatible HVACR tasks.

For combustion work, the analyser measures oxygen from 0-21% and carbon monoxide from 0-10,000 ppm with H2 compensation and over-range protection. It also measures H2, supports optional NO measurement to 5,000 ppm, and calculates CO2, CO/CO2 ratio, excess air and combustion efficiency. Kane 460 HVACR, Heating, Cooling, Refrigeration & IAQ Analyser can also calculate refrigeration subcool and superheat, with support for more than 40 refrigerants including R22, R32, R134a, R290 and R410A.

A large colour graphic display, simple menu system and compact, rugged design help make daily testing straightforward. KANE LINK allows compatible wireless probes and monitors to connect to the analyser, while KANE LIVE enables users to see, save and send test results. Kane 460 HVACR, Heating, Cooling, Refrigeration & IAQ Analyser also includes a hydrophobic water trap to help prevent vapour damage and is backed by KANE CARE lifetime warranty support.
