ACT 431 ADSL Filter with Lightning Suppression

ACT 431 ADSL Filter with Lightning Suppression is designed for alarm systems that use analogue signalling on Broadband/DSL telephone lines. It meets BS/EN50131 requirements and allows analogue alarm signals to operate securely while Broadband/DSL services are present. Built-in lightning surge and power cross protection also helps protect connected customer premises equipment.

The filter provides terminal connections for direct wiring between the master telephone socket and the alarm equipment. It is suitable for use with Redcare, digital communicators and speech diallers. When correctly connected to the master socket, the arrangement can also provide line seizure for compatible alarm equipment.

ACT 431 ADSL Filter with Lightning Suppression includes dedicated terminals for the incoming BT line, the master socket Phone/Fax line, the alarm equipment AB line and A1/B1 connections from suitable equipment. Pass-through terminals are also provided for connections that simply need to pass through the unit. Where A1 and B1 connections cannot be made, the filter can still be connected to the BT line and alarm equipment AB line, although analogue line seizure will not be provided.

Key Benefits
  • Allows analogue alarm communication to operate on Broadband/DSL telephone lines.
  • Supports BS/EN50131-compliant alarm installations where the stated connection method is used.
  • Provides built-in protection against lightning surges and power crosses.
  • Supports line seizure when connected through the master socket with suitable A1 and B1 connections.
  • Provides clearly defined terminals for the incoming line, master socket and alarm equipment.
  • Connects directly to the master telephone socket and alarm control equipment.
  • Suitable for Redcare, digital communicators and speech diallers.
  • Pass-through terminals provide additional direct-through connection points where required.
  • Can be connected directly to the BT telephone line and alarm AB line when line seizure is not available.

Common Applications

ACT 431 ADSL Filter with Lightning Suppression is suitable for a range of alarm communication and telephone line installation tasks, including:

  • Analogue alarm signalling on Broadband/DSL telephone lines.
  • Alarm control panels connected to a master telephone socket.
  • Installations requiring analogue line seizure.
  • Redcare alarm communication installations.
  • Digital communicator connections.
  • Speech dialler connections.
  • Broadband upgrades where an existing alarm system shares the telephone line.
  • Alarm installations requiring lightning surge and power cross protection.

Why Choose This Model?

ACT 431 ADSL Filter with Lightning Suppression combines Broadband/DSL filtering, analogue alarm line-seizure connections and built-in lightning surge and power cross protection in a unit designed for direct connection between the master socket and alarm equipment.
