Amprobe TACH-20 Contact & Non-Contact Tachometer
The Amprobe TACH-20 Contact & Non-Contact Tachometer measures rotary speed, surface speed and length. It supports both direct contact tests and non-contact checks with an infrared beam. As a result, users can choose the best method for each moving part or surface.
A large LCD helps users read each result with ease. Built-in memory stores maximum, minimum and average values, as well as the last reading. In addition, the data hold function keeps a result on screen when it must be noted or checked.
Flexible Contact Measurement
For contact work, the mechanical adaptor accepts a range of tips. A surface speed wheel also supports direct surface tests on belts, rollers and other moving items. Therefore, the unit can measure contact rotation from 1 to 19,999 rpm and surface speed in several metric and imperial units.
The Amprobe TACH-20 Contact & Non-Contact Tachometer can display surface speed in m/min, m/sec, ft/min, ft/sec and in/min. It can also show length in metres, feet and inches. Simple controls let the user change the mode and unit without a long set-up process.
Fast Non-Contact Checks
For non-contact work, the infrared beam reads rotation without placing the adaptor on the moving part. Reflective tape provides a clear target for the beam during these tests. This mode supports a wide range from 1 to 99,999 rpm and helps reduce contact with fast or hard-to-reach parts.
Two different set types are available for the Amprobe TACH-20 Contact & Non-Contact Tachometer. One set contains the core items for non-contact work, while the wider accessory set adds six adaptors and a carrying case. Both options provide the main items needed to begin taking clear and repeatable readings.
