Extech AN250W Anemometer

The Extech AN250W Anemometer gives fast and reliable airflow readings for HVAC engineers, maintenance teams and building inspectors. It measures air velocity and ambient temperature in one compact meter. Bluetooth support also allows live data viewing and report creation through the ExView mobile app.

Designed for daily field work, the meter captures readings every 0.5 seconds and displays results on a large backlit LCD screen. Users can record maximum and average values or freeze measurements using the data hold function. A standard tripod mount also allows stable hands-free monitoring during longer tests.

Wireless Monitoring and Reporting

Using Bluetooth connectivity, the Extech AN250W Anemometer sends readings directly to the free ExView application for iOS and Android devices. The app can display trends, trigger high and low alarms and connect to up to eight compatible Extech Connected Series meters at the same time. Users can also export data as CSV files or create PDF reports with photos of the test location.

Wireless communication reaches up to 90 metres in line-of-sight conditions, making the instrument suitable for larger plant rooms and commercial spaces. The meter therefore supports quick inspections and clear documentation without the need for manual note taking. Its compact body and low weight also make it easy to carry between testing points.
