Extech SDL900 AC/DC Magnetic Field Meter measures magnetic fields in Gauss and milli Tesla with uniaxial Hall effect technology. It provides accurate readings for both direct and alternating magnetic sources and features automatic temperature compensation, which stabilises performance during long sessions. Measurement and Logging
The instrument captures field strengths up to 3000 mT for DC and 1500 mT for AC with a clear resolution of 0.01 mT or 0.1 G, depending on the selected range. Users set a sampling interval between one and 3600 seconds, and Extech SDL900 records and stores data without constant supervision. It saves each reading directly to the supplied SD card, stamps it with the time and date, and prepares it for export to a computer in CSV format.
Practical Use and Control
Pole indication assists with north or south orientation, while a zero function supports DC readings from a stable baseline. Extech SDL900 includes a data hold mode for immediate review and a MIN/MAX capture option that tracks variation without manual note taking. Technicians can employ the RS-232 output for software-driven analysis if the optional toolset is used.
Built with a dedicated magnetic probe and protective cover, Extech SDL900 arrives ready for regular field or workshop use.
