Fluke 1555 Insulation Resistance Tester & IR3000FC Connector Kit

The Fluke 1555 Insulation Resistance Tester & IR3000FC Connector Kit combines a high-voltage insulation resistance tester with the IR3000FC Fluke Connect Connector. It measures insulation resistance up to 2 TΩ and provides a maximum test voltage of 10 kV. The wireless connection also lets users view, log and trend measurements through the Fluke Connect App from a more remote position.

Remote operation helps the user maintain a safer distance when carrying out insulation tests on equipment such as switchgear, motors, generators and cables. Tests can be started and stopped through the Fluke Connect App, while readings can be saved to a smartphone or tablet to create a paperless, auditable data trail. Measurement data can also be analysed, trended and shared with relevant people in the field to support collaborative decisions.

For condition assessment, the Fluke 1555 Insulation Resistance Tester & IR3000FC Connector Kit provides automatic Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR) and Polarisation Index (PI) calculations, as well as timed tests and a ramp function for breakdown testing. TrendIt graphs can be used for timed PI and DAR ratio tests, while temperature compensation helps establish accurate baselines and useful historical comparisons. A large digital and analogue LCD, live circuit warning, Guard System and capacity for up to 750 tests between battery charges support efficient troubleshooting, commissioning and preventative or predictive maintenance.

Key Benefits
  • Wireless viewing, logging and trending allow measurements to be checked from a more remote location.
  • Remote start and stop control through the Fluke Connect App helps users remain in a safer position during testing.
  • A 2 TΩ insulation resistance capability and test voltages up to 10 kV support high-resistance and high-voltage insulation testing.
  • Automatic DAR and PI calculations reduce the setup needed for common insulation condition tests.
  • TrendIt graphs and temperature compensation support clearer comparison of present and historical test results.
  • The Guard System helps remove the effect of surface leakage current during high-resistance measurements.
  • A large digital and analogue LCD shows readings numerically and graphically for easier viewing.
  • Live circuit warning detects voltage before testing and displays line voltage up to 600 V AC/DC when triggered.
  • Stored Fluke Connect data provides a paperless, auditable record that can be shared with relevant personnel.
  • Up to 750 tests between battery charges supports extended field testing and maintenance work.
