Fluke SmartTrace™ 2082 Underground Utility Locator Kit
The Fluke SmartTrace™ 2082 Underground Utility Locator Kit helps electricians, linemen and contractors find buried electrical lines, communication cables and other underground services. It provides a safer, faster and more accurate way to locate underground assets in the field.
The SmartTrace™ 2082 uses a CAT IV 600 V-rated transmitter for work around energised systems. It also traces energised and de-energised lines through active and passive modes. In addition, the receiver measures depth up to 20 ft (6 m), while the system can detect signals up to 100 ft, depending on conditions.
Efficient Locating Workflow
The receiver combines Peak and Null locating modes with fast sound and meter response. As a result, operators can trace buried services more quickly and check paths with more confidence. It supports active tracing at 8 kHz and 33 kHz, and it supports passive tracing at 50/60 Hz and Radio.
The high-contrast grayscale display stays readable in full sunlight or light rain. Therefore, crews can keep working in changing site conditions. Responsive controls and simple operation also help reduce setup time in the field.
Built for Field Use
The kit arrives ready for work with a transmitter, receiver, carrying case, test lead kit, marking flags, replacement fuses and batteries. Moreover, the rugged IP54 design supports demanding outdoor work. The transmitter runs on eight D-cell batteries, while the receiver runs on six AA batteries.
