Martindale ET5 200A AC/DC Electrical Tester
The Martindale ET5 200A AC/DC Electrical Tester is a compact instrument for a wide range of electrical measurements. It measures AC and DC current, AC and DC voltage, resistance and frequency. It also provides continuity and diode test functions for routine checks and fault finding.
Its open-jaw design measures current on conductors up to 15 mm in diameter. Users can measure current with the jaw while using the test probes to measure voltage or frequency at the same time. A forward-facing LED torch in one fork helps illuminate the local working area during testing.
Additional functions include capacitance, duty cycle and temperature measurement. The supplied K-type thermocouple supports temperature readings from -35°C to 500°C. The Martindale ET5 200A AC/DC Electrical Tester also includes non-contact voltage indication, auto-ranging, display hold, a backlit display and automatic power-off.
Key Benefits
- Measures AC and DC current without fully enclosing the conductor.
- Supports simultaneous current and voltage or frequency measurements.
- Combines voltage, resistance, frequency and current testing in one compact unit.
- Checks capacitance, duty cycle and temperature without a separate tester.
- Uses auto-ranging to reduce the need for manual range selection.
- Provides a continuity buzzer for quick low-resistance checks.
- Offers non-contact voltage indication from 70V to 600V.
- Improves display visibility with a built-in backlight.
- Holds the displayed reading for easier recording and review.
- Uses automatic power-off to limit unnecessary battery use.
Common Applications
Martindale ET5 200A AC/DC Electrical Tester is suitable for a range of testing, maintenance and inspection tasks, including:
- Measuring AC and DC current on accessible conductors.
- Checking AC and DC voltage with the supplied test leads.
- Measuring resistance during electrical fault finding.
- Carrying out continuity checks with an audible buzzer.
- Checking electrical frequency and duty cycle.
- Measuring capacitance in electrical components or circuits.
- Detecting voltage without direct electrical contact.
- Taking temperature readings with the supplied thermocouple.
- Performing diode tests within the stated measurement range.
Why Choose This Model?
Compared with the ET4, the ET5 adds DC current, capacitance and temperature measurement while retaining the same 15 mm conductor capacity. The CM57 offers True RMS and a larger conductor capacity, while the ET5 provides an open-jaw format with temperature measurement.
