The Trend NaviTEK IE PROFINET Network Tester is a versatile device capable of assessing both standard ethernet IP and PROFINET industrial ethernet networks, on copper and fibre optic cables alike. Its intuitive interface boasts advanced testing functions and smart features that guide users throughout commissioning and troubleshooting. Specifically, it tests every wire in the network and supports both standard and non-standard cabling. Its advanced capabilities extend to determining faults using time domain reflectometry (TDR) and, with an added module, assessing fibre optic cables.

The device excels in network testing, identifying issues such as duplicate IP addresses, node misconfigurations, and packet losses. Its Netmap tool pinpoints mis-configured devices that might conflict, and its event log captures intermittent issues over two days. Notably, common tests, such as Ping and NetScan, can be streamlined using the Autotest function, enhancing productivity. The tester’s health check feature employs an intuitive traffic light system, providing actionable insights for each device on the network. Its touchscreen interface displays results, stores up to 5,000 entries, and, through the Trend AnyWARE app, sends customizable reports. All of these are housed in a durable rubber moulded body, powered either by mains or a 5-hour rechargeable battery, and accompanied by a comprehensive set of accessories.
