Sound Level Meters

Sound level meters are used to measure and monitor noise levels in industrial settings, transportation facilities, and other areas where regulation requires regular testing.

Sound level meters measure the decibel (dB) level of a sound, which is the measurement unit for noise; the higher the decibel reading, the louder the noise. Prolonged exposure to high decibels can result in hearing loss, so regulations advise that employers are required to keep noise levels below 85 decibels.
