Megger MFT-X1 Multifunction Tester
Developed for electricians commissioning, maintaining and diagnosing faults on low-voltage electrical installations, the Megger MFT-X1 Multifunction Tester supports single- and three-phase domestic, commercial and industrial systems, including EV charge points and domestic photovoltaic systems. Its functions cover AC, DC and TRMS voltage, automatic phase sequence, continuity and resistance, insulation resistance, True Loop™ loop impedance, volt drop, configurable RCD and 6 mA RDC testing, plus 2-wire, 3-wire, ART and stakeless earth testing with optional clamps where required.
True Loop™ testing combines 2-wire and 3-wire non-trip modes with the Confidence Meter™, which monitors measurement progress and removes erroneous values to provide a stable result in electrically noisy conditions. High-resolution mode reaches 0.001 Ω with 50 kA current calculation, while stabilised insulation output covers fixed voltages from 50 V DC to 1000 V DC plus a variable 50 V to 999 V range. Results can be tagged and transferred by Bluetooth® to CertSuite Installation, while the 480 x 272 TFT display, graphical connection guidance, quick-change Li-ion battery and user-installed microSD firmware updates support work on site.

Specification Notes
- Megger’s product advisory dated 20 December 2023 states that an aborted RCD or touch-voltage test may display an incorrect touch voltage; complete another RCD or touch-voltage test, or restart the instrument, before continuing
- A good connection is required when nulling leads; a poor null can introduce a high null value and artificially low resistance measurements
- The 2-wire earth-resistance result includes the resistance of the test leads
