The ATP AVM-8880 Hot Wire Anemometer is built for precise measurement of low air velocity and air volume. It features a slim telescopic probe that extends from 0.3 to 1 metre, making it suitable for accessing confined spaces such as grille hoods, diffusers, and ducting systems. The 9 mm probe head offers reliable detection for ventilation surveys and cleanroom applications. This model is supplied with a carry case, battery, and AC/DC mains adaptor for flexibility during use.

Equipped with an LCD display and backlight, the ATP AVM-8880 clearly shows readings for air velocity, air volume, and temperature. The unit stores minimum and maximum values and has a mean (average) mode for displayed results. Thanks to its USB interface, users can instantly transfer live data to a PC or laptop without any delay. The instrument also offers a user-selectable auto power-off function for extended usability.

Performance and Applications

This model is engineered for environments requiring low air movement detection. It is highly effective for HVAC balancing, environmental monitoring, air conditioning checks, and flow hood measurements. The ATP AVM-8880 maintains its sensor at a stable 80ºC for accurate results, though this design limits battery life to around 4 hours.
