HT IMP57 High Resolution Impedance Measurements Adapter

The HT IMP57 is a slave instrument with a resolution of 0.001Ω and high test current of 200A. The instrument works as an accessory with many other HT instruments/testers. It joins to the master instrument using a RS232 serial lead as the IMP57 is blind and has no screen.

It will test L-N, L-L and L-E, calculating the line impedance, and short circuit current to the resolution as above. The instrument is directly supplied by its own test leads and the electrical network under test; therefore it does not require any additional batteries, just a live system.

It is provided with special cables with double-contact alligator clips (the black and red parts of the alligator clip are electrically separated and make two different test points).

The red sides of the alligator clips represent the Current Circuit (C1 and C2), while the black sides (P1 and P2) represent the Voltage measurement reading. Hopefully this will reveal your protective devices are perfectly sufficient.
