Martindale LOKFS1 Universal Fused Spur Locking Off Device
The design of the Martindale LOKFS1 makes possible the safe isolation of almost any fused spur. Installation is simple, loosen screws on the socket, slip on and fasten. The LOKFS1 can then be locked using a padlock (not included).
The LOKFS1 is a universal locking off device for single gang fused spur connection units complying with BS 1363-4, commonly found in domestic, industrial and commercial environments. It can also accommodate flex outlets.
This lock out device allows for safe working on fixed wired appliances such as cookers, hand dryers, boilers and water heaters, where there is often no plug. Installation and maintenance work can then be carried out without the risk for the circuit accidently becoming re-energised.
How to lock off using the LOKFS1
Begin by removing the fuse from the fuse carrier. Next, loosen the screws on the fused spur face plate. Then locate the screw holes in the LOKFS1 over the loosened screws. Tighten he faceplate screws to secure the LOKFS1 in place. Use a padlock (not included) to lock the LOKFS1.
