Megger TDR1000/3P Cable Fault Locator

The Megger TDR1000/3P Cable Fault Locator helps engineers find faults on metallic cables quickly and accurately. It is designed for telecom, maintenance, and cable testing work. With a maximum range of 5 km and a resolution down to 0.1 m, it provides clear fault location data with minimal setup.

Fast operation reduces time spent tracing cable problems in the field. AUTO range selection chooses suitable settings for the connected cable, while automatic gain adjustment helps produce clear results. In addition, the 2 ns pulse capability improves detection of faults located close to the test point.

Clear Results and Easy Operation

A bright 256 x 128 pixel graphics LCD makes trace information easy to read in different lighting conditions. White-light backlighting and adjustable contrast improve visibility when working indoors or outdoors. Dual cursors allow quick measurement between events, helping users identify cable issues with confidence.

The Megger TDR1000/3P Cable Fault Locator also includes selectable output impedances to suit a wide variety of cable types. Four impedance settings are available, allowing greater flexibility across different applications. Trace HOLD functionality enables easy comparison of cable conditions during testing.

Built for Field Use

Designed for demanding environments, the instrument carries an IP54 rating for protection against dust and water ingress. It operates across a broad temperature range and features a rugged ABS housing. As a result, it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor fault-finding tasks.

The Megger TDR1000/3P Cable Fault Locator runs from five AA batteries and can provide up to 14 hours of typical operation. Automatic power-down after five minutes of inactivity helps extend battery life. Whether used on telecom circuits or electrical systems, it delivers reliable cable fault location with simple operation and dependable performance.
