Flir E86 Thermal Imaging Camera
The Flir E86 is an advanced thermal imaging camera and features an improved 464 x 348 IR resolution over the Flir E54 and Flir E76 models. This means the Flir E86 provides 161,472 individual temperature points, or 645,888 with Flir’s UltraMax Technology. It also has a thermal sensitivity of 30mK (at 30°C with a 42° lens) and an accuracy of ±2°C/2%
Flir AutoCallense make the E86 ideal for a range of building and electrical applications
Flir AutoCal lense options:
14°, 29 mm lens: A telephoto lens with a narrow field of view that allows the precise and imaging of distant targets.
24°, 17 mm lens: This is the most commonly chosen lens. With a 24° × 18° field of view, the user can remain a safe distance from energised equipment whilst still capturing in focus images.
42°, 10 mm lens: Providing the widest angle and largest filed of view, this lens is most suited to building applications where larger areas need to be captures in one image.
Powerful thermal imaging
The high resolution for the Flir E86 produces crisp, clear images, which can be enhanced with Flir’s patented MSX Technology. MSX technology allows the user to interpret images easier by overlaying the outline of the object(s) the camera is being pointed at over the thermal image. The images are then fused to provide as much details as possible.
The Flir E86 also has a thermal sensitivity of 30mK (at 30°C with a 42° lens) and an accuracy of ±2°C/2%
With UltraMax technology, the already impressive IR resolution can be enhanced to over 640,000 pixels. This is achieved by the camera taking a series of thermal images in their original resolution in a rapid burst, then being transformed by suitable Flir software. The result is an image with four times the native IR resolution, improving the distance to spot size ratio for even greater measurement accuracy on small or distant objects.
What can the Flir E86 be used for?
Condition monitoring
Improve plant reliability and avoid unexpected downtime through routine inspection with a rugged, handheld Exx-Series camera. Vibrant thermal images help manufacturing and facilities inspectors spot overheating equipment so they can immediately diagnose the issue, begin repairs, and prevent equipment failures.
Building Inspection
Improve energy efficiency and discover insulation voids, roof leaks, HVAC deficiencies and more with the Exx-Series. Instead of wasting time hunting for the problem, users can quickly validate the need for comprehensive repairs and demonstrate the extent of the damage through easily-interpreted thermal images.
