Fluke 1507 Insulation Resistance Tester
Built for electrical contractors and industrial and commercial electricians, the Fluke 1507 Insulation Resistance Tester is a compact handheld instrument for advanced industrial and electrical insulation testing. It measures insulation resistance from 0.01 MΩ to 10 GΩ and provides five selectable test voltages of 50 V, 100 V, 250 V, 500 V and 1000 V for troubleshooting, commissioning and preventative maintenance work. Its compact size and light weight make the tester easy to pack and use.
Beyond insulation resistance, the tester measures AC/DC voltage from 0.1 V to 600 V and earth-bond resistance from 0.01 Ω to 20.00 kΩ with a 200 mA short-circuit current. Automatic Polarization Index and Dielectric Absorption Ratio calculations, a Compare pass/fail function, live circuit detection, auto-discharge, a remote test probe and a large backlit display support repetitive and hard-to-reach testing while keeping key results visible. It is rated CAT IV 600 V and runs on four AA batteries (NEDA 15A or IEC LR6).
Key Benefits
- Five test voltages support insulation testing from 50 V through to 1000 V
- Automatic PI and DAR calculations save time during timed insulation tests
- Compare function provides a selectable pass/fail limit for repetitive insulation measurements
- Live circuit detection inhibits insulation testing when terminal voltage exceeds 30 V
- Auto-discharge releases capacitive voltage through the tester after insulation testing
- Remote test probe supports repetitive and hard-to-reach measurements
- Large backlit display keeps measured values visible during use
- Auto power off helps conserve battery power between measurements
Common Applications
Fluke 1507 is suitable for a range of verified insulation testing tasks, including:
- Electrical insulation testing
- Industrial insulation testing
- Troubleshooting
