Fluke 1662 Multifunction Tester
The Fluke 1662 Multifunction Tester is a multifunction installation tester designed for day-to-day electrical installation testing. It measures voltage and frequency, checks wiring polarity for broken neutral wires, and provides insulation resistance, continuity, loop and line resistance testing. The tester also calculates prospective earth fault current (PEFC/IK) and prospective short-circuit current (PSC/IK), bringing several core installation checks together in one instrument.
RCD functions include switching-time measurement, tripping-level ramp testing, variable-current testing and an automatic RCD test sequence, with Type A and AC testing supported. Z-max memory helps evaluate the highest loop test value, while the supplied zero adapter provides compensation for test leads and the mains cord. An illuminated display, self-test, phase sequence indication and switchable automatic start for RCD and loop testing support routine testing and result checking in the field.
Key Benefits
- Combines voltage, frequency, insulation, continuity, loop and line testing in one installation tester
- Wiring polarity checking helps identify broken neutral wires during installation checks
- Automatic RCD test sequencing supports repeated RCD testing without selecting every test individually
- Z-max memory supports evaluation of the highest recorded loop test value
- Switchable auto-start can start RCD and loop tests when the required test conditions are present
- Zero adapter supports compensation of test leads and the mains cord before testing
- Self-test provides an additional instrument check before measurement work
- Illuminated display supports reading test information during use
- Phase sequence indication provides phase-order information for applicable installations
