Kane 458s Flue Gas Analyser
The Kane 458s Flue Gas Analyser, a high-level tool, actively measures a wide range of variables for commissioning and maintaining gas systems and boilers. It directly measures carbon dioxide (0-20%), carbon monoxide (0 to 2000ppm), differential temperature, and differential pressure, and is ready for hydrogen (H2) blends up to 20%, all while protecting the CO and CO2 sensors. These functions enable the analyser to calculate oxygen content, excess air, CO/CO2 ratio, and combustion efficiency, in addition to performing let by/tightness testing. With an optional sensor, operators can also measure NO, NO2, SO2, and high range CO. The analyser is versatile, suitable for domestic gas, oil, biomass, and some light commercial appliances, and is fully upgradeable. It includes standard wireless connectivity for enhanced operational flexibility.
The 458s excels in measuring CO, boasting the latest sensor technology upgradeable for versatility and enhanced by an innovative purge pump system that protects the CO sensor from accidental over-ranging. It skillfully measures both ambient CO and CO in the flue. Furthermore, an automatic commissioning test streamlines the process, allowing users to conform to Technical Bulletin 143 without manually selecting the test sequence. Additionally, the extremely versatile Kane 458s allows for the specification of extra sensors, either from the outset or as needed, adapting to various requirements seamlessly.
Design Features
Featuring a large display, the Kane 458s additionally showcases up to six readings at once, alongside an easy-to-use, ergonomic rotary dial. Its smart design, encased in a robust shell, allows for connection to an optional infrared printer through built-in wireless connectivity, and comes with a ten-year Kane warranty. Ideal for a range of applications, it excels in testing combustion performance, efficiency, CO build-up, tightness, let by, and flue draught. This analyser is versatile, accommodating various fuel types such as natural gas, butane, propane, LPG, 28 sec oil, 35 sec oil, and wood pellets. Available in multiple kit options, the Kane 458s includes various accessories tailored to specific needs.
How to use the Kane 458s analyser
Temperature and tightness testing
The Kane 458s is capable of measuring flow and return temperatures, as well as performing tightness and let by testing. Temperature clamps are included as standard with the Pro and CPA1 kit options. All results, including combustion tests, pressure / tightness / let by and temperature can be printed off using the optional infra-red printer.
