Built for electricians and electrical engineers, the Megger TPT420 Two-Pole Voltage Tester provides AC and DC voltage measurement across low-voltage installations. Its LED and four-digit LCD displays indicate from 12 to 1000 V AC and 12 to 1500 V DC, while automatic polarity indication and a backlight support clear reading. A dangerous-voltage warning remains available when the batteries are exhausted, although this function must not be used for measurement purposes.
Beyond voltage testing, the instrument provides continuity indication from 0 to 500 kΩ, a diode test, single-pole phase testing and phase-rotation indication. Its phase-rotation function avoids crossing the test probes, while measurements between phase and earth are designed to remain below the tripping threshold of RCDs, RCBOs and safety breakers. An integrated LED torch assists in poorly lit environments, while the CAT IV 1000 V rating, IP64 housing and supplied GS38 shrouds support use under the stated electrical test conditions.
