Fluke ii910 Precision Acoustic Imager

The Fluke ii910 Precision Acoustic Imager is a cutting-edge tool designed primarily for detecting and pinpointing compressed air and vacuum system leaks. It serves as a powerful, all-in-one solution, expediting the process of both partial discharge and gas/vacuum leak detection. Equipped with an array of microphones and a visual light camera, the Fluke ii910 enhances ultrasonic leak detection, making the entire process simple and efficient.

  • Fluke ii900
    • Frequency range: 2 kHz to 52 kHz
    • Detection range: Up to 70 meters (230 feet)*
  • Fluke ii910
    • Frequency range: 2 kHz to 100 kHz
    • Detection range: Up to 120 meters (393 feet)*

The Fluke ii910’s versatility extends its application to various high-voltage scenarios, making it indispensable for high voltage electricians, electrical test engineers, and grid maintenance teams. Chiefly, this facilitates scanning for partial discharge at across a range of devices and locations such as insulators:

  • Insulators
  • Transformers
  • High voltage powerlines
  • Switch gears
  • Arrestors
  • Busbars
  • High voltage coils
  • Breakers
  • Capacitors
User Friendly Convenience

With user-friendly features like image and video capture at the push of a button, the Fluke ii910 simplifies operation. The 7-inch screen, utilizing Fluke’s SoundSight technology, provides clear visual indications of even the smallest leaks or potential discharge. Training requirements are minimal, and no specific training is necessary. Simply pick up the device, turn it on, select the frequency range, and start scanning for partial discharge or leaks. The Fluke ii910 even offers the option to have the frequency range automatically set.

Ensuring safety is a top priority for Fluke, the ii910 addresses the serious issue of partial discharge. Its specific microphone positions and sophisticated algorithms enable engineers to scan areas up to 120 meters away, enhancing safety measures and simplifying the monitoring process.

Reduced Downtime, Lower Maintenance Costs

A notable advantage of the Fluke ii910 is its capability to detect issues during operating hours without the need to shut down equipment. Consequently, this real-time view of operations allows engineers to identify and address problems promptly, minimizing downtime and disruption. With its simplicity, frequent monitoring becomes more manageable, ultimately reducing maintenance costs.

In conclusion, the Fluke ii910 stands out as a cost-efficient, safe, and effective tool for scanning and detecting partial discharge and leaks. Fluke ii910 Precision Acoustic Imager

The Fluke ii910 ultrasonic leak detection tool and precision acoustic imager is primarily used to detect and pinpoint compressed air and vacuum system leaks.  Designed to be a powerful, all in one tool, for the quick detection of both partial discharge as well as gas and vacuum leaks. Chasing down air leaks can be time consuming process the Fluke ii910 is equipped with an array of microphones and a visual light camera to speed up ultrasonic leak detection and make the process simply and efficient. This unit builds on the already impressive Fluke ii900, the Fluke ii910 offers an increased frequency and detection ranges.

The improved frequency and detection ranges provide both additional practicality and safety benefits, as the engineer can detect more whilst being further away. It also means the device can detect PD earlier than the ii900. The Fluke ii910 can therefore be used by high voltage electricians, electrical test engineers and grid maintenance teams to scan for PD at a range of locations and devices:

    • Insulators
    • Transformers
    • High voltage powerlines
    • Switch gears
    • Arrestors
    • Busbars
    • High voltage coils
    • Breakers
    • Capacitors

The Fluke ii900 is simple to use, with image and video capture at the push of a button. The large, 7 inch screen utilises Fluke’s SoundSight technology to provide clear visual indication of even the smallest leaks or potential discharge. As a result of its simplicity, training requirements are kept to minimum, no specific training is required. Simply pick up, turn on, select your frequency range and start scanning for PD or leaks. You can even have the ii910 automatically set the frequency range for you.

The Fluke ii910 provides a cost efficient, safe, effective and comfortable means to scan for PD and leaks. Frequent monitoring is much easier as the ii900 does it all with no additional tools or accessories such as headphones required. The ii900 can even pick up reflection of sounds, meaning you don’t even need to have a direct line of sight to locate an issue.

Find and fix before flash

Safety is always Fluke’s priority. Partial discharge is a serious issue that if not monitored and identified early can lead to catastrophic consequences; such as black outs, fires, explosions or death from arc flash. The Fluke ii910 makes monitoring as simple and as safe as possible thanks to the combination of specific microphone positions and sophisticated algorithms that allows the engineer to scan areas up to 120 meters away.

Reduce downtime, lower maintenance costs.

One of the main advantages of the ii910 is that is can be used to detect issues during operating hours; without the need to shut equipment down. This also provides the engineer with a ‘real time’ view of operations and removes the lengthy process of trial and error when locating an issue. Repairs can then be carried out with minimal downtime and disruption, which in turn reduces maintenance costs. General monitoring can also be carried out more frequently thanks to the ii910’s simplicity.
